چکیده
In recent years, sustainable supply chain management has gained increasing attention, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout chains have been identified as one of the most important sustainability issues. This paper presents an investigation problem transshipment among distribution centers (DCs) in a cold to achieve inventory cross-filling. Although is effective tool for pooling, possibility increased GHG raises environmental concerns. study establishes cold-chain logistics model that considers from DC storage trucks. The new also reflects laden status cargo weights trucks accurate emission assessment. An optimization developed minimize both costs chain. Numerical simulations are conducted diverse cases examine characteristics. result analysis identifies service levels demand variability strong impact on transshipment; small p-values statistical verify significance this effect. different effects each source analyzed. results demonstrate DCs can effectively reduce chains. provides useful models tools assess optimize decisions design operation transshipment. proposed will enable assessment alternatives objectives

Allocation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Supply Chains
Globalization, which exports production and jobs from rich countries to poor countries, also exports from rich countries to poor countries the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions created from the production of the goods consumed by rich countries. But whose responsibility are the GHG emissions? Are they exclusively the responsibility of the producing countries, or exclusively the responsibility of t...
متن کاملChapel Hill Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory
Executive summary This report estimates greenhouse gas emissions in tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) for fleet vehicles, street lights, and traffic signals operated by the Town of Chapel Hill from 2005 to 2008, and makes policy recommendations for the future reduction of such emissions. The authors are undergraduates studying at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, who have ...
متن کاملUncertainties in Life Cycle Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Advanced Biomass Feedstock Logistics Supply Chains in Kansas
To meet Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) cellulosic biofuel mandates, the United States will require an annual domestic supply of about 242 million Mg of biomass by 2022. To improve the feedstock logistics of lignocellulosic biofuels in order to access available biomass resources from areas with varying yields, commodity systems have been proposed and designed to deliver quality-cont...
متن کاملNon-CO2 Greenhouse Gas Emissions in China 2012: Inventory and Supply Chain Analysis
Reliable inventory information is critical in informing emission mitigation efforts. Using the latest officially released emission data, which is production based, we take a consumption perspective to estimate the non-CO2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for China in 2012. The non-CO2 GHG emissions, which cover CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, and SF6, amounted to 2003.0 Mt. CO2-eq (including 1871.9 Mt. CO2...
